Expected result:

Error message:
A java-script popup alert + huge traceback at server side as follows:
"Can't activate: info.magnolia.cms.exchange.ExchangeException: 1 error
detected:
Not able to send the activation request

Mmm.. your public instance is reachable?
I don't know if you are aware that Magnolia is based upon 2 (or more)
instances, it seems that you don't have a "standard" magnoliaPublic
instance running.
Or it is running but not installed.
Can you doublecheck this?
