OK same setup as I have then.

That should not be. What you should see is actually 
http://localhost:8085/magnoliaAuthor/<site-definition-name>/

, but ... oh I see ... you get this link because you open it from admin
central and tree indeed gives you full path.

That _is_ correct, because you are accessing accross domains (localhost
is not mapped for your site) so the site name is added to the link and
your site link itself is shortened.

Yeah in this case site is guessed from the prefix which is not as
reliable (i18n, virtualURIMappings, ...) as when having site in
explicitly.

Anyway I after re-trying everything fresh I managed to reproduce your
problem. I'll try to get another snapshot with the deployed for you on
Monday and same goes also for MGNLETK-21.
