Jan, is there a JIRA ticket for this issue that I can follow? This bug is a showstopper for upgrading to 4.3 for us right now, but we also need the 4.3 multi-site support for going live with new sites...

Is this a bug? OK, I managed to reproduce the issue except ... what is see in the links is the site configuration name to be used rather then theme name (but it is still a bug). Are you sure what you get is a there or was it an oversight since your theme (pip) is called exactly same as your site configuration (pip)?
