Yes, sure, and that is what a collegue of mine implemented..
But IMHO, we are in rendering-time, there *MUST* be another issue avoiding HTTP...

What your page needs to do is to reproduce what Magnolia filter chain
does for the rendering. Since you are already in and since you know what
you want to render, you might skip parts of the setup to simplify it and
just setup the RenderingEngine and call it's render() method while
substituting output writer with your own.

That's exactly what I expected..
Ok, ready to produce a "RenderingUtil" with some helper static methods..
