If you just want to show messages from Twitter and not do anything special with them which would require processing them on the server, I'd just solve this completely in the browser in JavaScript. Twitter has some ready to go widgets [0] available and you could just wrap the ones you like in paragraphs.
There's also the Frisbee module [1] which seems to have Twitter functionality. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems that also uses twitter4j, so it might render tweets on the server instead of in the browser and not be what you're looking for, but you could give it a try. Nils.
