I can't find the old forum entry. But also there is this hidden feature. You can render certain content nodes separately in Magnolia.
Try browsing your page with the JCR browser, pick some nodes and enter the path in your browser. So e.g. if you have a page and in it a content list named "main" and in there a node named "0", try calling it by entering <pagepath>/main/0 as URL. We had a use case once where we wanted to reload a certain paragraph with ajax using exactly that. I tried it out and it worked.
