I don't know about the version, this was a temp job and I never got formal training or documentation on Magnolia, I was just sort of thrown in and told how to do the workflow. And I do have to own it since I made a mistake. But it does seem like a custom install. I think the restore issue had to do with cross-dependancies....something about copying down from production would hurt the QA server, and that would prevent exisiting stuff on the page to survive, or something like that. Seems to me to defeat the purpose of having tiered servers, but whatever. Anyway, thanks for listening and answering, I appreciate it.
