We are using Simple Media to manage images for our site. When we Activate them
and try to see them in the Public instance of Magnolia however, they don't show
up. In the Author instance they look fine.

an example Author instance url would be:

http://myweb.com/magnoliaAuthor/mediaObject/myProject/galleries/building1/resolutions/res-192x139/building1.jpg

and in the Public instance:

http://myweb.com/magnoliaPublic

It's cut off. For the life of me I coulnd't figure out why this was happening.
So just to see what happened we took the Author url and changed 'Author' to
'Public':

http://myweb.com/magnoliaPublic/mediaObject/myProject/galleries/building1/resolutions/res-192x139/building1.jpg

And the strangest thing happened - it took me to the login page. Very strange
considering that the Public instance is configured ... well, as a PUBLIC web.
Anyway, after logging in with the same user we use in the Author instance,
*now* the images are displayed.

Obviously this is not a desired behavior. Why is this happening? Is there a way
to tell Simple Media to ... make images public? Is it a question of who
uploaded the images? In our case it was superuser but we always used superuser
to upload non-Simple Media images with no problems.

Any ideas?
