Hi there, I would also recommend trying the "bicubic" "interpolation hint" as Had suggested above. I had a similar experience where the default bilinear interpolation did not look good for small images. Though the effect that I had was that the small images were *pixilated* rather then blurry looking. So it might be a different situation.
