Thanks Richard for your response. On our side, on this particular box, we make 
sure that we shutdown tomcat and confirm that no tomcat process exists before 
we attempt a start. Also we have other web applications running on this box as 
well on other boxes along with magnolia application. I am starting to think in 
the lines of :
a) The Magnolia DB on this box is corrupt. If so, how can i reproduce the issue 
on [b]test environment[/b] to confirm the same.
b) Tomcat memory setting or something related to tomcat setup is wrong compared 
to other boxes. This seems highly unlikely as they haven't been touched for 
couple of years.
