Dear list,
I apologize in advance if I'm the zillionth one to send mail about upgrading to Magnolia 2.1.3 to this list, but I'm totally lost at the moment. I'm by no means a Magnolia poweruser, and the upgrade notes on the website are unfortunately a bit too sketchy for me.
The goal is to upgrade from Magnolia 2.0.3 to Magnolia 2.1.3, both the author and the public instance. Here's what I did so far: - keep the Magnolia 2.0.3 intact, do not change its ports. As far as I can tell, the works ok (you can edit & activate etc) - install Magnolia 2.1.3 on the same host. Change port 8081 to 8881, 8006 to 8806, and 8010 to 8810 (to not interfere with the Magnolia 2.0.3) in ~magnolia2.1.3/tomcat/conf/server.xml. When you set Config > subscribers > SubscriberConfig > 0001 > address to 'localhost:8881/magnoliaPublic', the example site seems to work fine, too (again, you can edit & activate pages) - in the 2.0.3 author instance, set Config > subscribers > SubscriberConfig > 0001 > address to 'localhost:8881/magnoliaAuthor - in the 2.0.3 author instance > Website, activate the root of our website (incl. sub pages). This takes some time, and the button stays green, but on the 2.1.3 author (or public) instance, nothing happens. Activating the templates and dialogs also does not work. - trying to do the same for 'localhost:8881/magnoliaPublic' as subscriber does not work either.
Any hint about what I'm doing wrong is much appreciated.
