We are currently using Castor 0.9.9 but are trying to upgrade to a newer
version.  Will you be creating a binary with the newest patches sometime
soon?  We could build it for testing purposes.  But, for production,
we'd prefer a "production" version.

No, you have not. You have come across a change in Castor that has been
introduced quite some time ago, and that has been discussed on the
mailing lists in quite some length. To break it down, this is a change
that we were required to introduce as the old code gneration simply
wasn't compliant with the specs.

Yes, mechanically you did the correct things to get the sources frmo SVN
and build them yourselves.
