to build Castor from sources if you just want to be using it for XML
data binding purposes and as a persistence tool.

Just use the required JARs. Do not build from sources unless you want to

Simply download the required JARs from the download page, and put them
onto your classpath. Or as Brian has already suggested, use a build tool
such as Maven and all required JARs (incl. transitive dependencies) will
be downloaded for you.
