Hi,
I tested using CouchDB v0.8 and v0.9, using same machine, same erlang
host (v5.6.4), and v0.9 is significantly slower. I therefor doubt it has
to do with this fsync change in erlang v5.6.4
In summary:

CouchDB/0.9.0a731428-incubating : 7.5 req/sec
