Hi Joel, The mailing lists are all managed through the Apache foundation - http://apache.org/foundation/mailinglists.html. I'm not sure if we can add a footer. But it would be great if you could investigate further and see if we could create a web form, footer and anything else that would make it easier for people to to subscribe and unsubscribe.
