Agree to extend the existing Jira.

More than implementing the Equinox console commands in Karaf (to mimic the Equinox commands), I think we can create a wrapper (we did something similar in Hadoop to wrap the hdfs commands).

Or better extend the issue which is already there. A simple pax
provision/runner example attached would be nice too.

Kind regards Andreas

    +1

Can someone familiar with the Eclipse side add the issues for adding
    such commands?

        Hey Michael,

Just curious but wouldn't it be easier/better to implement the diag
(IIRC there's already something like it in karaf)/ss commands into
Karaf instead of making the equinox console working in Karaf?

        Just my 0.02€

        Kind regards,

            Hi JB,

thanks for the fast response. Too bad this does not work as
            is because the
equinox commands "ss", "diag", etc. would have been quite
            helpful.

            Thanks and Regards,
            Michael

                Hi Michael,

I never tried this, but I'm afraid that we will have
                some conflict around
                the stream handler, etc.

                Regards
                JB

                    Hi,

is it possible to get the new Equinox shell running
                    in karaf ? I put
                    "org.eclipse.equinox.console_
1.0.0.v20120522-1841.jar" into the deploy folder and
                    the bundle is now
stuck in "STARTING". All imports are resolved and I
                    would have expected
                    it to start up nicely.

                    Any ideas ?

                    Thanks and Regards,
                    Michael
