I can reproduce the exact problem Gareth reported in Karaf 3.0.1 and in Karaf 2.3.5, while it works in Karaf 2.3.3, 2.3.4 and 3.0.0. I attached the .cfg and a features files which each should create a configuration for the factory PID TestConfig. For Karaf 2.3.5 and Karaf 3.0.1 only the config file works correctly, while the features file creates a configuration for factory PID “Instance2” instead. I used the commands config:list "(service.pid=TestConfig*)" config:list "(service.pid=Instance*)" to check after installing the configurations.
