Hi guys,

yes, I reopen a couple of Jira about that, that I would like to address.

Let me look for the Jira ID.

Hello Achim and Gareth,

I ran a few tests myself just to make sure. I can reproduce the exact
problem Gareth reported in Karaf 3.0.1 and in Karaf 2.3.5, while it
works in Karaf 2.3.3, 2.3.4 and 3.0.0.

I attached the .cfg and a features files which each should create a
configuration for the factory PID TestConfig. For Karaf 2.3.5 and Karaf
3.0.1 only the config file works correctly, while the features file
creates a configuration for factory PID “Instance2” instead.

I used the commands

config:list "(service.pid=TestConfig*)"

config:list "(service.pid=Instance*)"

to check after installing the configurations.

Regards,

Benjamin

Regarding hawtio-git I'd say this is a bug at hawtio, they should be
aware that the syntax for configurations does interpret this.

Hello Achim,

So I can assume that what I am seeing is not the expected behaviour then? If
yes, I will open a JIRA.

Note that it messes up configuration for other components as well. e.g. This
is what I see when I install hawtio-git which can't be correct:

----------------------------------------------------------------
Pid:            git.2bb62379-f85c-4846-bc6e-557ac591738b
FactoryPid:     git
BundleLocation: null
Properties:
    hawtio.config.dir = ./etc
    org.apache.karaf.features.configKey = hawtio-git
    service.factoryPid = git
    service.pid = git.2bb62379-f85c-4846-bc6e-557ac591738b

thanks,
Gareth
