hi lenya folks!
first of all, kudos for this fine piece of work to all the developer and
user community!
we are about to implement a small academic website using lenya. we would
like to have most of the static content out by christmas, and then we
want to start implementing the cool stuff and start training the users.
the grand question is: do we go with 1.2 or might it be more fun and
save work later if we bite the bullet and adopt the dev version right
from the start?
we have sufficient xsl/xml expertise to solve minor mysteries, but our
java skills are somewhat limited.
the main point in deciding which version to use (besides from you
telling me i'm nuts anyway) is whether the internals of 1.4 are likely
to change in ways that would force us to migrate content by hand as the
development progresses (since i know no sane developer will bother with
data migration scripts in an unstable branch).
if so, i'd rather not try it.
if, on the other hand, you tell me that my content and design can stay
as they are and only the editor view is going to change, i'm all for
bleeding edge :-D
best,
jörn
