fwiw, i'm moving a 1.4 deployment into pilot phase in 2-3 weeks. it can
be done, but it requires metric shitloads of ye olde open-source spirit
:-D (thanks to all lenya devs for their patience with my never-ending
questions!)

i would advice against using the jcr storage right now, because there's
not much you can do with it (yet), whereas with file storage, you can
work around lenya's limitations with cocoon functionality.

basically, it depends on what's at stake. we're phasing out an old,
poor-man's-cocoon site written in php that had no cms features at all.
so there's nothing to lose from our user's POV.
otoh, we have a corporate deployment of the commercial imperia cms at
our university, and we need to kick ass in order to justify our decision
to roll our own lenya-based solution. but i'm confident we will :-D

best,

jörn
