I don't really know at this point. If I can make a good case to my
boss that it would benefit us to wait, he'd probably go for it.
I think Lenya 1.4 has greatly improved and will improve even more within
the next couple of weeks.
I also don't think you have to wait actually, because despite the
further development you
should be able to keep your stuff in sync.
The only problem where I would be hesitant is if you would have to go
productive/live by
next week (for instance) because of missing experience re the behaviour
of 1.4 as a productive
system. But I also hope that this will soon change ;-)

have other things that could be worked on, and may even take
precedence over getting Lenya in place.
