I have had good results using m2eclipse with WTP 2.0. Setting up the
project initially is the biggest challenge. I have resorted to comparing my
m2 project against a stock WTP 2.0 Dynamic Web Project and manually editing
the following files to merge in the WTP settings:

.project
.classpath
./settings/*

It is not ideal, but it works.

They key from there is ensuring that your Maven2 Dependencies are included
in the J2EE Module Dependences in the project properties. As far as I can
tell this includes all of the dependencies, regardless of scope. I have a
question on the newsgroup about this:

Can someone please tell me the situation regarding M2-eclipse and WTP
integration, the main details are in the following 2 jira issus.
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-105
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-105 and
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-107
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-107
What is happening with this? What code has been integrated into the trunk,
what functionality can I expect if I build from the trunk? Will
integration
with WTP 2.0 be included in the 0.11 release, when ever that will be?

Cheers

Paul
