Ok, thanks for the attention. I looked up definition of troll and I guess I
could be considered one but not intentional. Just trying to get this thing
operable and hoping my hands on feedback is eventually appreciated... so I
am committed to m2eclipse.

The mylan/mylar thing is confusing trying to gather the proper working revs
and installing them. This has been alot of guesswork and trial and error.
The web site is a bit shy on explaining where to get things... some revs
comes bundled with eclipse and pre-configured for update. Some we are forced
to manually enter as remote site in eclipse and update.

I have been flopping between eclipse 3.22, 3.3.1 and 3.4M4 using
apache-maven-2.0.8 on jre1.5.0_14 and seeing the same results.

I defined M2_REPO as a classpath variable inside eclipse pointing to
C:\Tomcat-5.5.17\webapps\m2.repository (it's full)

My settings.xml file is located at the default repo location
C:\Documents and Settings\owner\.m2
C:\Documents and Settings\owner\.m2\repository (it's empty)

My maven setup if fine... everything builds and runs outside of eclipse...
local repo and all.

I am unable to run jack from eclipse IDE... it does not know where the
custom REPO is... I do not know why... it is pointing to the one in my home
directory.

Anyway...

Currently I am attempting to operate eclipse-3.3.1 after having updated it's
canned pre-configured remote sites for update/installation of all
features/plugins (which do include some versions of mylan and maven2
plugins). This update succeeded though I never knew these remote site update
definitions came canned configured with eclipse ... that was a surprise ...
so I am leary about what versions are installed, what their dependencies are
or whether they will operate with what i try to install with what is
failing.

1. Config.xml (on the docs) should be typo edited to be settings.xml as I
could not find any config.xml

2. My local repo is configured in my settings.xml and ran fine with earlier
versions of m2eclipse and populated off of my custom local repo (not the
default). This configuration runs fine in cmd line but fails in eclipse IDE.

BTW: the version of m2eclipse that came with eclipse-3.3.1 is
0.0.11.2007.0603-1200

What do I do at this point? I start guessing again...

ATTEMPT: So what the heck, I will set the global settings file to the
settings file this thing is suppose to be operating off of. Hit APPLY. Hit
RE-INDEX Local Repository. This did nothing. eclipse still does not know
where to find the local repository.

ATTEMPT: Restart eclipse and hope M2_REPO gets seen somehow.

Still nothing

?
