I downloaded another emf sdk in the 2.3
(http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/downloads/?project=emf) range that
should be binary compatible with 3.2 and is using generics, but I still
get the compile errors. I haven't had much time to investigate further.
EMF 2.3 won't allow you to compile. It is only binary compatible (i.e.
would work at runtime), and to compile you need EMF 2.2, which is
available from EMF download archives.
I guess it would be next to impossible to set RAD 7 as the target
platform
I'd say it is rather trivial to set RAD7 as target platform. Just set
"Location" in "Plug-in Developement / Target platform" to the location
where you installed RAD7.
so I was wondering if running a remote debug session would
work? Maybe I'll try that tonight.
Sure, that will work too. But you still need all the source code and
in order to make changes things still need to compile.
