I am already downloading things from cvs which I'll need when I have
access to that machine. I believe, expat on cvs is outdated, correct? I
just looked at
http://cvs.midgard-project.org/cvsweb.pl/addon/expat-lib/include/
and found that it has the same include files which don't go along with
lib and php since beta6. I had to use v.1.95x from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/expat/
where there is only one include, called expat.h. I believe I have to use
that one, if I install the rest from cvs. Is that right?
Suppose, bootstrap, config and compile go well. Then I'll:
1.
==
For personal resons of personal preference directly edit the asgard
dump, just below the comment:
#
# Dumping data for table
'host'
#
where I'll change 'LOCALHOST' to my hostname. I think this is less
hassle.
2.
==
Create one empty midgard db and put asgard into it.
3.
==
Create a blobdir by that small perl script.
4.
==
Put the asgard blobs into blobdir.
5.
==
Adapt httpd.conf (concerns virtual host, midgard module, midgard engine,
blobdir, db credentials and possibly docroot)
Then, I should be able to login as superadmin and create new sitegroups
and new hosts which I prefer to differ only in the prefix but not in
their virtual host. I want to be able to manage everything from asgard.
My site admins should then be able to use the system and even their
various object-attachments wouldn't get mixed up, is that right?
