Midgard is an extension to PHP, so any available PHP scripts would work.
If you want to make use of the midgard facilities in those scripts
(including Midgards user management for example) they'll generally
require modification.

We have none built in at the moment. We use ht://dig for our own
website, mnogosearch would be another good candidate.

You'd need C and postgresql skills to determine that. I don't know
postgresql too well. My first hunch is 'not too difficult, but quite
some work'.
