I want to get things ready to release 1.4.2. For this I'll need the
following:
1. If you have submitted a bug, and you have the option of installing
latest CVS, please test whether your problem still exists. Please
(re)move the older libs & headers and reinstall all 3 components.
2. If you haven't submitted a bug, pick one and do the above anyway :)
3. For those with plenty of time, repeat 1 & 2 until list is exhausted
:)
*Anything* that's not 'configure, make, make install' is a candidate
for a report, but please discuss on the dev list first.
I'm sending this on the user list to get the broadest number of
problems to the surface. If at all possible, I'd like to continue the
discussion on dev, though.
I'll be doing the same, of course. My current status:
#192: possibly fixed, awaiting confirmation from submittor
#132: not release-critical, bottom of the pile
#198: looks like a duplicate of #199
#201: Assigned to AB
#140: suggested adding --with-xml=/path/to/expat to submitter,
awaiting confirmation from submittor
#159: is the perpetual PHP build environment issue. Suggestion:
document and suspend until build env stabilises
#176: not release critical, patch very much welcome
#189: looks OK & useful, proposal: add
#199: technically OK, but I'd like to hear from the rest of the crowd.
Generally useful? OK to add?
#155: need to test (anyone have a solaris machine I can use?)
#168: awaiting confirmation from submittor
#191: need more info from submitter
#137: assgned to AB
#188: investigate & fix
#197: apply patch
#086: Would prefer to have AB look into this
#182: Assigned to David
#193: AB, possibly fixed, needs confirmation
This is the list I want to work through before I'll start thinking
about a release. Additions, and specifically, discussion about the
above very much welcome.
