I've installed the nadmin 1.4.1 package on a rh71, using the precompiled
packages from
hklc.com (excellent job) . After some testing I've got into some
problems. Unfortunately I couldn't
succeed to intall the nadmin-data package due to the failure of the
install script (caused
by mysql which didn't exit cleanly) so I've installed it by hand. I've
created a
midgardstaging & midgardlive database but :
1. the repligard_staging_to_live script copies in the live database all
the articles not keeping
in mind that they are not approved
2. I've created an article in the staging server , started the
repligard_staging_to_live script ,
it copied that article in the live database but after deleting it from
the staging it remains present
on the live database.
My third problem is that I'm using the iso-8859-2 charset and the
built-in html editor translates
the romanian characters into something like &#number which is perfect,
but the same editor
during editing a topic seems to lack this functionality.
The last is a midgard problem . I have the following in the apache error
log sometimes:
httpd: midgard.c:1202: mgd_release: Assertion 'res && res->res' failed
child pid 30858 exit signal Aborted (6)
child pid 30856 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
and in the mysql log:
010706 20:03:12 Aborted connection 2151 to db: 'midgardstaging' user:
'midgard' host: `localhost'
(Got an error reading communication packets)
(and of course with this occasions I've got document contains no data
error).
