Let's put it this way: I don't have the time to fix #08 and #05 in a
timely manner. If anyone is willing to step in I'm not going to
complain, but if all the other bugs are fixed I would personally be
inclined to release 1.4.2 even if the php3 branch has known problems.
The benefits outweigh the problems in this case, IMO. Whether or not
that's seen as an official EOL for the php3 branch is just an
academical question. We have too much to do and way too little people
to do it with. We need to concentrate our efforts.
