The fact that the php documentation effort uses XML is actually a pretty compelling reason IMHO. I am checking out phpdoc CVS right now hoping that I will be able to find out what tools they are using from there, as I did not find any instructions elsewhere. I'm hoping that I can figure out the logic, as I would like the function reference to follow the documentation structure php has set for extensions. Hey, we may want to intergrate the function reference into php at some point in time.
