no, it may be placed per virtual host directive

I may understand this if You used IE without 'http://' before url.

Asgard gets images form blobs, so check:
1. if blobs dir exists
2. if blobs dir is defined correct in conf file
3. if blobs dir was specified correct while configuring midgard-data
