Uploading a local copy of Midgard-lite would be great. Thank you very much.

Just to give you a little more background on what I'm trying to do, I
really have two goals in mind. First, I have an immediate goal to create a
basic web site that presents a professional image to the public. I have a
second, longer-term goal to build an on-line time and expense subsystem
that would interface with a back-end accounting package (preferably open
source -- I'm looking at those right now, too).

In the short term, I am just looking for basic capabilities - static pages,
news, and a forum would be nice. Is Midgard-lite running gmx.de? I
thought this was a very well done site. If Midgard-lite was used to build
this site, then I'm sure it does what I need.

To support my long-term goal, I'm trying to pick a system that would be
flexible and well-organized enough to use as a development framework. From
everything I've seen, Midgard appears to lead other PHP CMSs in this area.

By the way, even if Midgard-lite development is on hold at the moment, as
long as it has the same framework as Midgard (and I have no reason to
believe that it doesn't), then it would be very valuable to me. It would
allow me to set up a basic system on an inexpensive hosting system right
now, but leave open the option of easily scaling to Midgard on a more
expensive hosting system when I am ready.

Thanks again,
Randall
