Okay, I finally have asgard working. The instructions to install aegir seem simple enough. I Untar one file in /var/nadmin and import the other into repligard. Did that, no problem.

So if asgard is working at http://india-center.net:8001/asgard should aegir not be working at http://india-center.net:8001/nadmin ??

I'm not getting anything.

Any suggestions?

I think that may be the problem. My phpinfo() says nothing about Midgard now because I'm trying to recompile PHP.
