I had set the password field in the person table to 'password' rather than '**password' like the Aegir docs said.
However Aegir still won't let me in, so I still need help with that. :)

Since I got such good help getting Midgard and Asgard up and running, I thought I'd try again now that I've hit a wall again. :-)
I'm trying to go through the OSCOM3 tutorial and so I'm install Aegir and Midcom.
I installed Aegir using the instructions on their site and it works up to the point where I can see the aegir login screen and it looks fine. However, when I put in my username/password (just the default admin/password that was working with asgard) and push login, it just comes back to the same page like the username or password was wrong. Or maybe it is failing to send a cookie or expecting register_globals=yes?
My Midcom problem may be related, basically after I installed the Aegir packages with repligard, I can't install the midcom packages because repligard says:
jesse # repligard -a -i midcom-core_1.2.0-pre1.xml.gz
repligard-CRITICAL **: Error logging into Database
It didn't have this error before I installed Aegir.
I found several mentions of similar problems in the archives but I couldn't find a resolution that worked for me.
Thanks again for any ideas!
