Ok register_globals=on seemed to do the trick.

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know if this in the pipe somewhere to be fixed? Register_globals always makes me nervous and I'd rather not have it on on a production site...

Aegir must be running under FQDN (see the "RH9-RPM compartible with Aegir?" -thread), also register_globals must be turned on (and PHP sessions must work properly).
