would you still be interested in a demo account?
for a demo account that you can use both with aegir + the soon-to-be-released WebInOne, download + install the newest WebInOne release from
ftp://ftp.dataflow.ch/webinone/testing/German
and follow the instructions for auto-generation of a demo-account. if you don't want to install a windows program we could also make an aegir-only demo account for you if you like.

Frankly, if you have privileges to reinstall Apache, I would suggest going with regular Midgard instead of Midgard Lite.
I second that!
yes, but it's only for testing purposes... I don't want to screw up everything I have on this server just for a one-week test.
If Midgard proves to be what it seems to be, then we will choose it as our CMS and install the full version... even if it takes weeks !
By the way, I think it's a pity you don't provide a demo site where I could go and have a look at Midgard/Aegir. All I have are some screenshots and the description (besides a few recommendations). If someone's in the market to evaluate a good open source CMS, they definitely should be able to test them online before going on with the cramps of installing. Just my two cents...
This may sound strange but I experienced this too (totally unrelated to Midgard Lite) when an PHP error occurs but error_reporting is turned to E_ALL and not E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE. My guess is that you will have a pretty good chance to see a real error message if you turn PHPs error reporting to E_ALL &~E_NOTICE.
I'll check this out and keep you tuned.
ps: I will be in IRC for the next two hours. Feel free to come there: irc://irc.midgard-project.org:6667/#midgard
No way to get past the company's firewall :-( but thanks anyway.
Cheers Marianne
