What I was saying is: I have mod_midgard_preparse working now. (I did not realize I had to re-compile midgard-lib --with-cache-fix; perhaps that should be enabled by default in future releases?)
And you will notice that in the MMP midgard-root.php, the page element tags are called simply by
<[code-compat]> <[code-global]> <[code-init]>
instead of using mgd_eval. What I wanted to know is if I can place a file under the DocumentRoot of my website (so that I can edit it using a text editor!!) and still be able to do that.
