Hi, >> - how do I assign the child style to my newly created website? > > You should be able to click on the website (under the Websites tab), > click Details, and set the style there.
Well, that's exactly what I *cannot* do. The sample site (under SG0) sees the "Aegir Sample Style" (I mean, I can select it from the drop-down menu in Details). But my site *cannot* see either the "Aegir Sample Style" or the child style. All it "sees" are that bunch of "Empty" styles, plus some other "shared" styles. How do I make my newly created website see the child style? How do I delete the unused "Empty" styles? What does the red "X" besides my web pages mean? I could go on for hours with such questions, but I found no answers :-) You guys should really think about a Midgard/Aegir manual "for dummies". >> - how do I make the company administrator "see" a website that is not >> "empty" (if I create a website based on "Empty" he will see it)? > > If you set it up under the correct company, you shouldn't have to do > anything special. If you log in as the site admin (using the sitegroup 0 > username and password), which sitegroup/company does your new website > appear under? well the company administrator sees the root page but not the website (the ball with the cursor). If I log in under site admin it appears under the correct company all right. Well, what I will do now is copy-paste from the child style to one of the "Empty" styles and see if I can work this way. Thanks for your help.
