Hello,

host
| where aegir is runnig as well as on the one where the actual site is
running.

Two ways to do this:
1) Create sitegroup specific Aegir host for each sitegroup.
I.e. Create new Web site for each sitegroup and set it to use
Aegir Master Style and Aegir CMS root page. Thus you'll have
www.host2.de/aegir AND since you now have attachment host with
the same host name (www.host2.de) images will show.

2) Create new attachment host for each sitegroup. So, again,
create new Web site for each sitegroup but with the same hostname
as the Aegir has (www.host1.de) and set it to use
Empty style and Attachment host root page. NOTE: You'll need
to give the prefix for the new host in format /attachment/SG_GUID
(where SG_GUID is the 32-char monster ;)).

Both alternatives should work but the 1. has the benefit
that your clients don't have to select the company from
the pull-down list - the company cannot be changed!

At least our clients have been happy with their "own"
Aegir installations. :)

| BTW: I don't know if this is important, but the different web sites
are midcom
| sites. The attachment dir was created in aegir when I uploaded some
images
| for the styles.

It might have. MidCOM has it's own attachment server. But I think
in this case it shouldn't matter.

| Bye, and thanks again!

Cheers!

| P.S.: Sorry if I keep flooding y'all with mails, but I think I'm (slowly)
| learning to get along with Midgard :-)

Hey, that's cool. At least you haven't given up on Midgard! :)
