Hello Alessandro,

Hi all,
I'm trying to install Midgard 1.6 on my Debian Sarge (with Apache 2 and PHP4).

Everything seems to work fine (well... almost...) until I try to access my new Midgard vhost with Konqueror.

Instead of the CMS front page I just get a "Forbidden page" error from apache2. I expected that Datagard had set the required access policies when it created the new vhost but I do not see any such directive inside the config files of apache.

Sounds like Midgard has not kicked in, or there's something wrong with the Apache2 configuration and/or Midgard database "host" table.

You could try using the midgard-pageresolve application from the
command line and see if you get a proper answer (page found).
If yes, then the problem is not in the db or Midgard installation,
but in the Apache2 configs.

Use "midgard-pageresolve -h", to see the proper flags.

Do I have to set the required access permissions by hand, for example using a <Directory /> and a allow/deny directive inside my httpd.conf file? Does Midgard have its own ACLs and I have to use them?

If you haven't read the installation manual sections "Creating a new virtual host" and "Troubleshooting", please see them through at:

http://www.midgard-project.org/documentation/installation/

Thanx
