At the moment, it does not exist. In a previous attempt, datagard/repligard 
created such a directory and filled it with a lot of directories with names 
like 1, 2, 3, etc... It assigned them "www-data:www-data"; (my apache user) as 
ownership and "rwxr--r--" as a permission schema. Just the blocking files 
were root:root owned (I thought that datagard was running as the www-data 
user because of a suid and mistakengly created a few files as root, that is 
the real user that launched it).

No. Just a "midgard" database.

Well, I think so. A regular installation of MySQL do that. (I cannot check it  
because I'm writing from a Mandrake 10.1 boot on the same machine that hosts 
my debian Sarge install...)
