Hi!

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I can't really get it to work. I
copy-n-pasted your instructions, and this is as far as I get:

phpize ./configure --with-mysql=/usr
Configuring for:
  PHP Api Version: 20020918
  Zend Module Api No: 20020429
  Zend Extension Api No: 20021010
arrakis:/usr/src/php4-4.3.10/ext/mysql# make
make: *** Keine Targets angegeben und keine make-Steuerdatei gefunden.
Schluss.

The German error message means (roughly tranlsated) "no targets provided and
no "make" guidance file found. Quitting"

Maybe it's some stupid error on my part, but I've never been good at compiling
stuff (it just never works for me), so if you know what went wrong, pls tell
me.

BTW: Do the debian folks already know about this problem, i.e. has anyone
submitted a bug report?

Bye,

Andreas
