I'm trying to create a new site and am having troubles figuring out exactly how it's supposed to be done. I have created a new company with the system administrator, and created a new admin for that company. I logged in with the company admin to the company site in aegir, and created a group called "designers" with access to approve, websites, styles, and changelog. I created a user as a member of that group. I logged out and logged in as the newly created user to the company site. I tried to edit the website, but got permission denied. (WHY?) I logged out, and back in as the company admin user. I assigned the newly created userid to the parent group Company Administrators. I logged in as the user again to the company site, and now my modifications to the web site were successful. I created a new style. I pointed the website at the new style. I clicked the style, and clicked "new" in the right pane. I have only one box that says "New chile style" (chile misspelled, should be child?). PROBLEM: Where is my ability to create new style elements? I'm slightly confused as to how permissions are assigned in this program, and am unsure how to set things up properly without confusing my co-workers when I assign them userid's to access various parts of this site. Why can I create a whole new style, but no style elements? It doesn't make sense to me... Thanks to whomever can explain this confusing user permissions problem to me.
