Now you can see why some of us don't spend time on those other, derivative 
software packages.  There are some benefits, but many deterrents, so you have 
to weigh those.  I personally like the idea of adding Add-on management to 
OFBiz and I doubt that it would be all that difficult, but as is the case with 
everything in OFBiz, it has to be driven by the people contributing the code.

Anyways, I know this doesn't get you the feature you're looking for implemented 
yet, but make a JIRA issue if there isn't one already there, and it's likely to 
get worked on before too long.
