I've noticed that sometimes people close issues just because they aren't being worked on, and maybe that is what you are referring to.

Personally I think that is a mistake and it isn't a problem to leave issues open as long as needed.

If someone closes one of your issues and you think it should stay open, just say so... this is a community effort so don't think of ANYONE as having a more important opinion than yours just because of who they are (while respecting the opinions of others of course).

Please just create an issue here - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ - then the community will jump on all of the best ideas. Thanks for the information.

Cheers,

Hi,

I suggest to add a parameter for the port to use in
RemoteDispatcherImpl
so
that one can choose which port to use for the communication.
It can help on a network with firewalls.

I think it means :
- add the parameter / property to the
"base/config/ofbiz-containers.xml"
file, and maybe other configuration files
- update the RmiServiceContainer class, handling the parameter /
property
- update the RemoteDispatcherImpl class, adding a constructor
