I am sorry. I should finally learn after all these years that I shouldn't write email when angry. I have just managed just by yum upgrade loss owncloud instance from my server with users who use it for their use. Packaging software which depends on php54 for platform which doesn't have php54 is either complete ignorance or something worse (let us not go there). I would think that E in RHEL means that the packager should be careful about screwing up your users. But that's just me, what do I know? > That said, I think "whoever packages ownCloud on OBS" would have > appreciated a hint. If that somebody doesn't know that there is no php54 for RHEL-6 (or if he/she doesn't know how to package for SCL), they shouldn't do the packages for it. > So if the purpose of thise post was to be > helpful, rather than just bashing OBS, please consider contributing to > our packages next to the Koji ones. No, it is not about OBS ... and don't worry, I will continue to use and help to manage packages for EPEL, so I won't bother you with my complaints anymore. Burned once, ...
