He resigned his commission in 2370 so he is neither Ensign nor Acting
Ensign.  I guess that dealing with Jonathan's lack of humility in actually
trying to talk with Ted is just too much and we have to go to this other
topic to settle our nerves?  Ted's pronouncements from on high have no
validity whatsoever.  They simply do not follow what actually happens on
Struts.  A mantra is not a description.  I too would examine what Ted says
in detail except, as Jonathan says, Ted does not deign to discuss any
matters with people not in his self-perceived star status.  I highly suspect
that Ted does not even see that he is doing what he is doing.  It is like a
sniper claiming to be the commander of the armed forces.
