Thank you for wanting to and helping with a French translation of the VCL web code! The web code was not initially written with doing translations in mind. So, as you have already seen, there are many places where translations are done on phrases instead of whole sentences. I've slowly been working on improving that. There will need to be a number of updates to the translation files for the upcoming 2.4 release. I've responded to your questions inline below. There are several phrases above these in the file that are repeated. So, they are not in the file more than once. This makes it a little confusing to read them in the translation file. Actually, the word should be completely omitted. The correct phrase should be "version is selected." However, realize that this is incorrect the the code.
