 Charles,

 Thank
you for wanting to and helping with a French translation of
 the VCL web
 code!

The web code was not initially written with
 doing translations in mind.  So,
 as you
have already seen, there are many places where translations
 are done on
 phrases instead of whole
sentences.  I've slowly been working on improving
that.  There will need to be a number of
updates to the translation files for
 the
 upcoming 2.4 release.

I've responded to your questions inline
 below.

What is in the file is
correct.  It ends up displaying something like "You
 are
allowed to make up to 5 overlapping
 reservations at any given time."

 "vcl.po.template" (few rows after

You are only allowed to have a single<br>"

I think the 4th msgid should not end with a dot and the 5th
 shoud be
 > "you currently have. You
are not allowed to have ". Isn'it ?

What is in the file is
 correct.  Phrases 1, 2, 3, and 4, or phrases 1, 5, 6,
and 7 are used together.  Phrases 5, 6, and 7
 end up being joined together
 similar to
those in Q1 to give something like "You are allowed to
 have up to 5
 overlapping reservations at
 any given time."

Is it correct to have another "to" in the second
 msgid ?

 What is in the file
is correct.  It ends up giving something like "The
selected reservation is no longer available.
 Go to New Reservations to
 request a new
reservation or to Current Reservations to select another one

 that is avaiable."  My understanding
is that the "to" before "Current
 Reservations" is actually optional here.
It can share the "to" before "New
Reservations" or it can have its own
 "to".

Is it correct to have another "to" in the second

 This works out the
 same way as Q3.

Is it correct that "Specify" appears in the 2nd
 msgid?

 There are several
phrases above these in the file that are repeated. So, they

are not in the file more than once.  This
makes it a little confusing to read
 them in
the translation file.  It would be helpful to look at how
 they are
used in the code by looking around
 line 534 in
 web/.ht-inc/blockallocations.php.

"that" in the 2nd msgid instead of
 "what" ?

 There is
definitely a problem here.  Actually, the word should be
 completely
 omitted.  The correct phrase
should be "version is selected."  However,
realize that this is incorrect the the code.
 So, the translation file needs
 to keep the
typo (in English) in order to cause the phrase to get
 translated.

After the 2nd phrase, the code prints out a
 localized date/time string
 followed by a
 question mark.
