What I really need reviewed is the IPS legacy entries.
Do they stay or go?
At the current time, they should be left as-is.
So check if I understand this correctly.
7117296 legacy actions need some love
removed the SUNWgawk legacy reference from my manifest.
I believe this is correct because SUNWgawk never shipped
in S10?
$ ls /ws/sfw10-gate/usr/src/cmd/gawk
/ws/sfw10-gate/usr/src/cmd/gawk: No such file or directory
And didn't appear in OpenSolaris until AFTER we had switched
to IPS packaging? build 133
$ sccs prt /ws/sfwnv-gate/deleted_files/usr/src/cmd/gawk/Makefile.sfw
/ws/sfwnv-gate/deleted_files/usr/src/cmd/gawk/SCCS/s.Makefile.sfw:
D 1.1 08/10/01 13:48:05 cf46844 1 0 00074/00000/00000
PSARC/2008/594 Include GNU awk 3.1.5
6736964 add gawk open source package to sfw consolidation
onnv_146 08/02/2010 08/09/2010
So the legacy removal is correct.
I'm I understanding correctly?
I believe you are. As you've seen, the legacy action for the gawk package
was removed by the fix for CR #7117296 for Solaris 11 Update 1 (in build
#6).
I'll leave David to respond to why is should be left as-is for the SRU
branch.
